El Dorado Hills
“El Dorado” means, the land of golden opportunity.
It is not surprising that El Dorado Hills has been ranked as one of the “Best Places To Live, Work and Play” in California more than once. First, in a study by CNN Money Magazine in 2007 and second in a study by Wallethub in 2016. Key characteristics in the Wallethub study were family life, education, schools, health, affordability, social/economic environment, median income, crime rates and safety.
It’s well-planned housing communities, shopping, top-rated schools and picturesque terrain of oak-studded rolling hills make for a very attractive place to call “home.”
El Dorado Hills’ population is approximately 44,000. It is an unincorporated area of El Dorado County, located on the Highway 50 corridor 8 miles between Folsom and Cameron Park. It is 29 miles from downtown Sacramento and 80 miles from world-renowned Lake Tahoe.
