It is not surprising that El Dorado Hills has been ranked as one of the “Best Places To Live, Work and Play” in California more than once. First, in a study by CNN Money Magazine in 2007 and second in a study by Wallethub in 2016. Key characteristics in the Wallethub study were family life, education, schools, health, affordability, social/economic environment, median income, crime rates and safety.
It’s well-planned housing communities, shopping, top-rated schools and picturesque terrain of oak-studded rolling hills make for a very attractive place to call “home.”
El Dorado Hills’ population is approximately 44,000. It is an unincorporated area of El Dorado County, located on the Highway 50 corridor 8 miles between Folsom and Cameron Park. It is 29 miles from downtown Sacramento and 80 miles from world-renowned Lake Tahoe.
